Vastu Shanti Puja

 Vastu Shanti Puja

Vaastu means the dwelling of Humans & Gods. Vaastu shastra is an ancient science which helps one to get the natural benefits freely offered by the five basic elements of the universe in which we all live.

These basic elements are Akash (SKY), Prithvi (EARTH), Paani (WATER), Agni (FIRE), and Vayu (WIND). Vastu Shastra can be applied by keeping in harmony with these basic five elements of nature. Every Vaastu dosha has some remedy and if taken properly, the happiness and peace comes back in the life again.

Vastu Shanti puja is done for the removal of malefic energy present in the dwelling due to Vastu defects and harmonizing the panchtatva (five elements), i.e. Akash (Sky), Prithvi (Earth), Paani (Water), Agni (Fire), and Vayu (Air).

While entering a new house, as per the Vedic tradition, a Navagrahahanti and Vastu shanti puja is performed. This puja is a remedy for whatever malific influences are present in the house and removes the vastu doshas.

The Navagraha pooja is performed in the prescribed manner with the Nava Dravyas of the 9 planets. Navagraha Sooktam is recited and 108 Namavalis of all the 9 planets are recited. Then Vastu Shanti pooja is performed plus recital of Sri Rudram and the pancha suktas followed by homam with the prescribed materials.
