Kamakhya Devi temple is a popular Hindu religious place. People all over India come to this place to get the blessing of Devi Kamakhya. It is one of the 51 sakti peeths and more famous among tantriks.




Kamakhya temple is situated on the top of the Nilachal Hill in Guwahati. Guwahati is the capital of Assam. Hence it is not that difficult to reach there to visit Mata Kamakhya.



Three options are there to reach in Kamakhya temple:


  • Air: Flights are available for Guwahati and the nearest airport is Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi. And also this airport is well connected to all the major cities of India.
  • Train: Trains are also available and the nearest station is Kamakhya Station. The distance from railway station to Kamakhya temple is about 7 km.
  • Bus: Buses and metered taxis are always available in Guwahati for visiting temple.
