Navratri is celebrated in the month of chaitra and ashwin, the first parva arrives in the chaitra period of the year which is derived as per the Hindu panchang and according to Gregorian calendar this navratri fill fall in the month of April.


The chaitra navratri which is also known by the name of Vasant navaratri whose stories are associated with the sudarshan king of kosala kingdom who was helped by durga mata to regain his lost kingdom back from his nephew yudhjit, also when lord rama the seventh incarnation of lord Vishnu was in search of his wife devi sati along with his brother laxman, they both observed this navratri in order to receive blessings of goddess durga.


Navratri as we know is celebrated for nine days and on each day a different incarnated roop of goddess is worshiped; all the details along with date are listed below
